How do I claim?
  1. The beneficiary must complete and submit the claim form along with all necessary documentation.
  2. Khululeka will submit the claim and all relevant documentation.
  3. The claim is then sent for approval.
How to do a claim?
  1. Certified ID Copy of the deceased (SAPS)
  2. Certified ID Copy of the Beneficiary (SAPS)
  3. Certified Copy of Death Certificate (SAPS)
  4. BI 1663 (DOHA)
  5. Burial Order (DOHA or Funeral Parlor)
  6. Beneficiary’s Bank Statement (Less than 3 Months Old)
  7. Police Report (Un-Natural Death only) (Internal Form)
  8. Claim Form (Internal)
How to do a benefit claim?

Repatriation:

  1. Burial Order
  2. Death Certificate
  3. Copy of ID – Both of the Deceased & Beneficiary
  4. Copy of ID of the person/s accompanying the deceased

Other Related Benefits:

  1. Policyholder’s ID Copy
  2. Invoice from the Service Provider
  3. Claim Form (Internal)
How long will repatriation take?

Repatriation begins as soon as the paperwork is submitted.

How long until I receive payment?

Payout of a successful claim is made within 48 hours into the beneficiary’s valid South African Bank account.

In which countries is Khululeka Life Funeral Cover available?

Currently Khululeka Life Funeral Cover is only available in South Africa.

Terms and Conditions

  • All cover plans are subject to a 6 (six) month waiting period in the case of natural death.

  • Note: Disclosure of inaccurate information during the application process may influence your claim payout.

  • Exclusions: Suicide within the first 12 months from the commencement date of cover.
